The Florist and The Farmer part 2

Mr Naylor and I disagree on a lot of things.

I would like him to grow things in dusky shades.

He thinks dusky shades are niche, and it is only me and my customers that want them.

He would like more people to buy his wonderful traditional pinks that he grows for M&S.

I don't care how local they are, i won't have them in the shop.

But one thing we do agree on, if something is worth doing, it's worth doing well.

If you are going to fill a shop with flowers, you might as well fill it.

I can't get them all in, there are thousands of them, I need a wide-angle lens.

A customer has just come in, and uttered the immortal words

"No lillies today then?"

Beautiful, just beautiful! I wish that I could just stand in the middle of all of them in your sweet shop.

I'm glad there are no lillies, I don't like them. I put them in the same category as gerbera.
Sorry

If I could come live at your shop for the week...I would. It is an absolute delphinium dream. I think I would try to sleep on top of them though- they look so inviting, and that would probably mess things up a bit, so its probably best for you and the flowers I am an ocean away....

And I'm an ocean AND a continent away - wish I were just around the corner. Love the flowers, love the colors, tell Mr. N you are right.

Don't forget to let me know when you've sold out of "dusky shades" eh?

Oh my goodness what a sight. I wish other shops would take note. This is how you make someone want to come into a shop. I would love to be near you so I could stand and stare and then come in and buy arms full of dusky blooms.
