These feelings won't go away

You know it ain't easy
For these thoughts here to leave me
There's no words to describe it
In French or in English
Well, diamonds they fade
And flowers they bloom
And I'm telling you
These feelings won't go away
They've been knockin' me sideways

Citizen Cope has been on a loop all weekend.

The refurbishment has started. The shop is empty.

and now i am bit daunted.

Oh my, I don't believe we've seen the whole shop before. I can't wait to see what you do - but I know it will be fabulous!

Dear Miss P

Doesn't an empty flower shop looks so sad , no hustle and bustle, no gorgeous flowers no little nick nacks , it's like an empty plate . But then as with an empty plate there is the anticipation of what lovely scrumy delights are to follow, I'm sure your new makeover will be dlicious

Yours Mr H

Like Jane, I await with bated breath. I am also packed up and living out of boxes, but we have our flat now.

Delights all around today - I found my first Jamie recipe that works. Result.

Am seriously excited for you. We did it last year. Yes, there are still things in boxes that haven't been unpacked, and yes, it was daunting, huge, and took longer than I ever expected. We re-opened when promised and nobody minded the chaos we were still in and the rummaging in boxes they had to do to buy anything.

Like with everything else in this job, you just have keep going.
I wish I could do it every year. It was almost as refreshing as a holiday.

p.s. be prepared to be seriously selective over what's allowed back into your freshly painted kingdom
