I had a farm in Africa at the foot of the Ngong Hills

I wish i had, and the passionate affair with Robert Redford, swooping in and taking you camping in the Masai.

Out of Africa has been inspiring me. Not in a fill the shop with protea kind of way, just in colour and texture.

This is what i meant by moving on.

No vintage dot com.

Instead bronzes and coppers, leather and carmanthus, solidago, seed heads, vuvuzela roses, echinacea and wheat. Majolica still obvs.

There is more to come.

Also i have just had Mr Naylor on the telephone. He is a Londres, and somebody has recognised him from his appearances on this very blog. He feels like a proper celebrity.

Brilliant.

Love that book--you've inspired me to read it again. And those prickly looking orange things in your first picture. Maybe you'll let the right sort of vintage sneak in now and again...

I'm in RSA - and I don't see a vuvuzela rose in your pics anywhere - they are a nasty orange and yellow stripe - sorry to anyone who likes stripy roses!!!!!

Funnily enough miss P, I found CD soundtrack of the film gathering dust last week and took it to work (spa)to play as part of the relaxing music loop-clients loving it...(Sshhhh don't tell the broadcasting licence people)

I think perhaps that the semantics of 'vintage' has become indicative only of c*th k**ston, bunting, old country roses etc. This concept has become so diluted that, 'vintage dot com' can now be found in pound shops.
Simply by being of an other era, we do not conspire to have vintage goods. It just remains a fact.
This does not transcribe in meaning to 'vintage dot com.'
I think the bird cage is just fine.
Purely semantics.

I AM a proper celebrity, Picklin'

The great mystery is that I should be recognised from your blog rather than from my own (extensive - let's face it) body of work.

As you were, kisses
