You talk like Marlene Dietrich

And you dance like Zizi Jean-Maire
Your clothes are all made by Balmain
And there's diamonds and pearls in your hair

You live in a fancy apartment
Off the Boulevard St. Michel
Where you keep your Rolling Stones records
And a friend of Sasha Distel.

A lady has just walked in and told me my gourds aren't groovy enough for her needs. She followed a man who said this was the weirdest shop he had ever seen. Ever.

There must be a coach party in town.

We are working with a temporary window display, the vestiges of the last 3 all piled into one, cowboys, globes, ladders, and jars of flowers. Christmas seems to be inching it's way into the chain shops. It's always difficult to decide when to start it, too early and people get annoyed, too late and you miss the boat. There is generally somebody who declares their shopping done by September.

and a mug of flowers. We went to the launch party of the Cosy Club last night. They gave me a mug. I love mugs, I want to have our own made, so useful for tea, pencils, and flowers.

I liked the Cosy Club, slightly envious of it's taxidermy collection but i shall return for a fish finger sandwich.

Then later i watched 2 engineers try and fathom how to work a Sky box.

Good times.

Also, Peter Sarstedt. good moustache inspiration for anybody doing Movember again.

and does anybody make mugs?

I am currently looking at a broken mug that was personalised by a lovely shop in the Lakes. It's from Stubbs Mugs(.co.uk) and is fine bone china....very important in my world if you're thinking of a possible customer base.

My windows are shameful....it still contains pumpkins, dead heather plants and shrivelling crab apples. I feel sorry for November....it's just the warm up to the main event.

I started filling bowls of baubles yesterday.....always do it on All Souls Day. If you can't beat them, you just have to join them I'm afraid.

Once again, I have bought too much. I just cannot resist the glitter

I wish that I could visit your shop but at about 1/3 of the world away it is not going to happen today! Your approach to flowers is the reason you have been in print and the other run of the mill florists are churning out "nice stuff". You do have some of the neatest stuff that is non floral related in your shop. Hooray for the weird!

Just came across your blog from a post on Botanical Brouhaha. Love it! And love that song, reminds me of dancing with my dad when I was a tiny girl :)
