Wise men say only fools rush in

but i can't help falling in love with you

You being Autumn.

I am longing for a change in season, kicking leaves, crisp air, bowls of soup, borrowing a lovers cashmere jumper, hats and scarves, burgundy and plum, bright orange, game pie, hot chocolate with whipped cream, seed heads, dahlias, acorns, stockings and a new pencil case.

Are you with me?

Elvis is always on my mind.

Gurds, berries, rosehips, warm colours, putting the heating on for the first time, cuddling under a throw with the Mrs on the sofa.... Yep... I'm with you...

You forgot to mention fireworks night, jacket potatoes from the oven with lashings of butter, a new coat, trick or treat, the air starting to smell of Christmas trees.

My birthday list publication.

Autumn how I love thee.

ooh your photos are always so lovely :) I'm getting married in October and I have to say I just hadn't considered the changing seasons and how there would be no sweet peas and hydrangeas featuring! I'm coming around to seed heads and dahlias and very excited indeed!

Oh, how I am with you. Living here on Dartmoor, I am longing for the holiday folk to head home. The heather and gorse is blanketing the moor.Long to light that fire, crack open the sloe gin and don my wellies.

I'm with you... I never get further than about half way through a season before I am longing for the next one. Suspect this says rather a lot about my mercurial ways.

So, so with you. Summer has been a wash out anyway, roll on the better season when it's OK to be cold and wet! And it brings blackberries, nights drawing in, cool crisp mornings, starting to think about Christmas (4 months today!!!) and all the other lovely things that come with the start of September.

I'll be with you as if I live thru the hurricane.

And maybe eat one more bowl of fresh peach ice cream.

And take a few more boat rides and eat a lobster dipped in melted butter,

Then and only then I'll be with you.

Autumn is joint best with winter for me so good times coming. Better to be able to add layers and snuggle!

Stay safe flwrjane. We'll be thinking of you and everyone in the path of the hurricane, hoping it blows itself out soon.
