Finally! I hear you all cry, it is has been a scheduling nightmare this year, what with the Golden Jubilee, weddings, the Olympics and other extraordinary happenings.........., but here we are, offering you 3 dates to come to the shop, and learn learn about flowers and gossip.

How to be a floral goddess
June 18th or September 17th
£250.00
At the shop 7 St. Paul's Street, Stamford, PE9 2BE

A day of learning basic principles of the hand tied technique, how to select flowers and vase types, which foliage to cut from the garden,how to wear flowers in your hair, how to wow your friends with flowers on the dining table and other such trade secrets.
Each course is for a full day, 9.30 until 5p.m
There is no need for any prior florist experience, no need to know the names of any flowers, you will need enthusiasm, the ability to giggle, and a thirst for learning something new.
You will be fed and watered at The pub.
You will leave with a lot of flowers, so lease bring a twee vintage wicker basket, or practical plastic box.
All tools, aprons and flowers are provided.
It is an informal environment, topics of conversation generally include, flowers, life experiences, blogging, photography and boys.
Most importantly you will be granted an audience with The Hound.

Wedding flowers
September 24th
£250.00

This course is aimed at anybody wanting to undertake wedding flowers, or jut to gain a better understanding of what can be achieved.
In the morning we cover, flower types, seasonality, how to make a table centre and discussion on church flowers, how to make them, and where best to use them.

in the afternoon, it's bridal party flowers, how to make a bridal bouquet, how to make buttonholes, both traditional and the not so, hair flowers including the oh so fashionable headdresses.

Like the Floral Goddess course it runs from 9.30am -5pm,  all tools, flowers, tea and coffee and lunch are included.
There will also be time to chat about weddings in general, and the wedding industry, blogging, Twitter and which red lipstick we all prefer.

All the courses are held on Mondays, and a number of our local hotels offer fabulous deals for a Sunday night, so you can make a weekend of it. The town of Stamford is really quite beautiful, there is a reason it gets used in Hollywood movies and TV dramas.

N.B. All courses are held in the middle of the actual shop, a shop with a stone floor, and you will be standing for most of the day, so comfy shoes it is, and layers. sometimes it's a bit nippy.
Also The Hound is in attendance, but i cannot guarantee the availability of any of the other characters. Those hoping to discover the identity of Lapelman may be disappointed.
Places are limited and only full payment at time of booking will secure your place.
