In the land of the blind

the one eyed woman is Queen.

Some pictures from recent weddings.

One bride came to pick up her bouquet herself

one organised her wedding in 2 weeks, and wore polka dots.

and one married the son of a local wedding photographer, so i am hoping for lots of lens action

and one had actual LURCHERS at her wedding

and one had the hottest best man.

also yesterday i tweeted that didn't like styled bridal shoots, and i got some flack.

It's because 99.9% of the time the model playing the part of the bride looks like she has a right cob on.

I don't like styled bridal shoots either. Mainly because they include one or more of the following:
1. Bicyles or an old rowing boat
2. Chalkboards
3. Vintage China
4. Uber thin bride and groom that don't look in love AT ALL
5. Ridiculously oversized jewellry

Bit dissapointed we didn't get pictures of the lurkers or the hot best man. Saying that is allowed isn't it?

We went to a wedding where they had half huskies as actual bridesmaids. That walked the bride up the aisle. They had flowers and pink diamonte leads. It almost made me want to get a pet. Almost.

I also spot a bit of orange in with the pink. Did you think we would miss it?

What is meant by 'got a cob on'? Please help. Kind regards, Clueless Londoner.

p.s: I will teach Cockney Rhyming Slang in exchange. :-)

I wish I could live inside one of those bouquets. Love reading British blogs with your "whilsts" and your clotted cream. Usually I can figure it out, but I need a traslations for "she has a right cob on".

And hooray for polka dot brides!

Bridal shoots remind me of the conversation I had with my goddaughter who is one of my bridesmaids recently. We don't like bridal hair when it is all pulled back severely off the face which seems to be what most hairdressers do to a bride and their attendants....woooo betide our hairdresser we want soft and girly :-)

To Becca,

Much obliged - you're a star!

And to uphold my end of bargain:

'Butcher's hook' = Look/To look (noun/verb). Use: "Let's have a butchers at that."

'Half-inch' - to pinch (verb). Use: "Who's half-inched my scissors?"

'Titfer' - pet form of 'tit for tat' = Hat (noun). Use: "What do you think of my stunning titfer"
